Velodyne's ultra compact Impact-Mini impresses What Hi-Fi in the latest issue and gains four stars. The review makes reference to the difficulty in producing a a small subwoofer that can satisfy in terms of truly deep bass, stating "The Impact-Mini occupies a carefully judged middle way."

They find the Impact-Mini "an enjoyable listen,able to trade blows with larger rivals."

The review mentions that the Impact Mini does not perform quite as well on music as on AV material. At Redline we feel that few customers at this price point would be looking for a world class music sub. If that is what is required then spend an additional £250 and buy a Velodyne MicroVee - the worlds finest compact music subwoofer.
